Newsletter blurb

April is Stress Awareness Month. Some pressure at work is normal, but ongoing stress affects our health, relationships and how we do our jobs. Rather than only sharing coping tips, this month we're looking at causes too: workload, unclear priorities and always-on habits. If something is adding to your stress, please raise it with your manager or through [feedback route]. Confidential support is also available at [link to EAP].

Slack / Teams post

For the company channel on the day.

It's Stress Awareness Month. If your workload or something else at work is causing you stress, please raise it, because we'd rather fix causes than only offer coping tips.

Talking points

For managers and team leads.

- Ask the team what's causing pressure, and act on what you can change. - Look at workload, priorities and meeting load, not only individual resilience. - Remind people of confidential support such as the employee assistance programme.

Tone note

How to pitch it.

Avoid putting the burden back on individuals with breathing exercises and wellbeing tips alone. Acknowledge workplace causes honestly and follow up on what people raise.

  1. Plan ahead — Add Stress Awareness Month to your content calendar at least 2 weeks before the date so you have time to gather content and images.
  2. Choose your angle — Will you run a dedicated special edition, or include it as a section in your regular newsletter? Bigger events work well as specials; smaller ones fit into your weekly digest.
