May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the US. It is a chance to talk more openly about how we are all doing and to remind everyone of the support available. If you have not looked at our employee assistance programme recently, you can find details here: [link to EAP]. Managers, this could be a good month to block out time in one-to-ones to ask how people are really doing, and to listen without trying to fix everything.

Slack / Teams post

For the company channel on the day.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month in the US. A reminder that our support resources are there for everyone, whenever you need them.

Talking points

For managers and team leads.

- Mental Health Awareness Month runs through May in the US and is a prompt for open conversations about wellbeing. - Make sure your team knows where to find the employee assistance programme and other support. - Model healthy habits yourself, such as taking breaks and using your leave.

Tone note

How to pitch it.

Keep messaging supportive and practical rather than performative, and never pressure anyone to share their own experience. Always signpost where people can get help.
