Newsletter blurb

Paste into this week's issue.

This is Men's Health Week, running up to Father's Day on Sunday. It is a good prompt for all of us to look after our physical and mental health, and to encourage the men in our lives to do the same. If you have been putting off a health check, this could be the week to book one. Our support resources, including the employee assistance programme, are here: [link to EAP]. Talking really does help, so check in on each other.

Slack / Teams post

For the company channel on the day.

It's Men's Health Week. If you've been putting off a check-up or a conversation about how you're doing, this is a good week to sort it.

Talking points

For managers and team leads.

- Men's Health Week runs up to Father's Day and encourages men to look after their physical and mental health. - Normalise taking time off for appointments and check-ups. - Check in with your team and remind them where to find support.

Tone note

How to pitch it.

Keep the tone supportive and practical, and avoid jokey stereotypes about men not looking after themselves. Remember that Father's Day can be difficult for some colleagues, so do not lean too heavily on it.

  1. Plan ahead — Add Men's Health Week to your content calendar at least 2 weeks before the date so you have time to gather content and images.
  2. Choose your angle — Will you run a dedicated special edition, or include it as a section in your regular newsletter? Bigger events work well as specials; smaller ones fit into your weekly digest.
