Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is the most important festival in the Christian calendar, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus. Western Easter falls on a Sunday between late March and late April set by the moon, and Orthodox Easter is often on a later Sunday.

Newsletter blurb

Paste into this week's issue.

Sunday is Easter Sunday, celebrated by Christians as the resurrection of Jesus and enjoyed by many others as a time for family and rest. To colleagues who are celebrating, we wish you a happy Easter. Orthodox Christians often celebrate Easter on a later date, so if that's you, let your manager know if you'd like leave then. If you're off for the long weekend, we hope you get a good rest.

Slack / Teams post

For the company channel on the day.

Happy Easter to everyone celebrating this weekend. We hope you all get some time to rest.

Talking points

For managers and team leads.

- Wish colleagues who celebrate a happy Easter, without assuming everyone does. - Orthodox Easter is often on a later date and may bring leave requests. - When UK clocks go forward over the Easter weekend, flag the effect on early-week meetings across time zones.

Tone note

How to pitch it.

Wish people a happy Easter warmly but without assuming everyone celebrates it. Keep any chocolate or egg-hunt fun optional and inclusive.

How to feature this in your newsletter

  1. Plan ahead — Add Easter Sunday to your content calendar at least 2 weeks before the date so you have time to gather content and images.
  2. Choose your angle — Will you run a dedicated special edition, or include it as a section in your regular newsletter? Bigger events work well as specials; smaller ones fit into your weekly digest.
  3. Involve your people — Ask employees to share their stories, experiences, or ideas related to Easter Sunday. User-generated content always gets higher engagement.
  4. Include a call to action — Give readers something to do: attend an event, share a message, learn something new, or donate to a cause.
